9 \+ v4 V5 B  x9 z4 N% b1 @I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

- v% V" e. v* G"We have requested background information from other government
( p4 @0 _/ Z; t; poffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
; H& I% Q; ]' c1 L$ u1 mof your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
8 O! O' y" h% d: V9 v9 Z% ~the status of your application before this information is received."
4 Q3 X' h9 L# r+ i- c( E% ^1 A
5 h7 j6 \4 b* c/ R6 ADoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
