Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
4 L& E2 W! j' V- submit information for community news # i) X. q* Z$ ?
- provide volunteers to update membership database
/ x! n) O4 w1 Q/ q- _- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers3 S( i: m; }7 t" Z
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties0 r3 w# ?- {( u" u. F' W( t% b
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
; ~9 O, _5 B$ M- R m2 ]- provide volunteers for various programs
" u" V' [9 U2 X- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
' ]5 E. \3 [; l z; C- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation4 Q* F6 s6 Z$ Z1 c4 m K. K
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
; l" X7 v$ j* j3 R- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
1 S: E0 X) @5 L/ v8 S7 T. Y9 }, m/ Y- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
" n* t' p3 h# H6 @- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
1 F, P/ [! G( k. v3 E- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
, @- p6 b1 v$ R+ L0 `. _- f1 t3 C- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
+ ~7 c+ n9 K- g2 x+ q* E- m& L- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

: Y% M8 p$ T. h# k- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 5 l. ?! p) U& i0 W% _
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ) Z1 X! g1 d' i
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
! r* N# I* K' j! y- evaluations 9 x9 F$ n+ A# ?
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre/ Z' N X. u: L( y( s4 z H( K
% P( ]: i& Q9 R5 L5 \- h W1 K* Q. YQualifications
4 t$ O, ~0 K* Q5 m; E9 L- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
. ?5 T4 X. Z7 ?1 }7 ~1 l9 F, k- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& D& t0 S" d; S: m* h- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
9 h5 d# R: P8 F! ~4 n; L- leadership skills
* k7 ]" T' K1 R' ?9 w5 I1 X* [0 s- management and supervision skills
" l+ L$ f2 R7 D8 M+ i3 |- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
