Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders4 M* v$ j p" S

• identify community and user needs and trends
& f$ U# \; z+ H& z& A• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

External Relations

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups1 `. |1 u7 e7 |9 h
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
: h8 S" L5 n$ Q8 I0 B/ K7 R• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.! U" j0 s0 A0 v0 X

Qualifications2 \. ^4 \' B; p' H3 d6 p
- University degree in a related field;
$ j" o4 c: S5 n+ v+ [9 ] g2 [- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
! G! \# |8 o+ o+ t" Q3 U- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
5 N3 {6 ]7 M( R( D$ T4 s- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
