Senior Agency/Program Manager

Board

•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals& X5 B) R( L( _
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board4 ~2 |- R  w' F6 O* ]6 n
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

Agency

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

Staff
0 Y/ {. _. b4 ]1 F$ S% N: Z•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff) f) h  Z* g/ D1 Q; d# |
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
% c6 h& o+ l" b# h& I$ q7 \•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions4 D( F+ N+ H- J4 o0 S% q
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
, _/ }4 _1 Q" I" g•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth% s7 [8 }8 t% T( |
•        meet with staff on regular basis3 j4 m' h/ q/ f
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

% J9 U! Z% K6 \/ j•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
# [5 b( M7 v& ^% u4 t/ L, ^7 y; t•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities+ H0 s; j6 Q6 f  [. ~
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders4 M* v$ j  p" S
•        set program priorities and directions * ^  _4 G( F5 C; O" c; U5 k
•        identify community and user needs and trends
& f$ U# \; z+ H& z& A•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
6 u6 k+ f5 X  d5 H' O; Z5 r•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
$ i( k( [$ o+ {2 ^( K6 ^' |•        maintenance of appropriate reporting

•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
* ?% F/ ?# e; H% y% T•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others. S, k: A$ Y- d( G- m

External Relations
( i1 a+ x0 n5 ~8 g$ ~5 d) F: I•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 M0 g- M" v# T% n# M4 |•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders( G% k: L* b9 N: s
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public& N1 P6 {. S* v1 K  R
•        identify community needs and trends8 p2 u: D: {, q7 L+ I
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups1 `. |1 u7 e7 |9 h
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
: h8 S" L5 n$ Q8 I0 B/ K7 R•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.! U" j0 s0 A0 v0 X
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff- C. b0 N$ |' J* K6 z- N, k0 D2 l4 w

Qualifications2 \. ^4 \' B; p' H3 d6 p
-        University degree in a related field;
$ j" o4 c: S5 n+ v+ [9 ]  g2 [-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
! G! \# |8 o+ o+ t" Q3 U-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
5 N3 {6 ]7 M( R( D$ T4 s-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

5 N8 |1 l% A( x1 r9 |1 B' H: K$ w' CSalary
) p5 F5 o, D8 v; E% D- n-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 5 |+ A3 S5 Y2 ~
