Staff
* ^" i; \/ A+ m• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff( @. J3 ~% y( Y) O
• provide leadership to staff and volunteers
o, a% c3 d X' R4 Y• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
" n% e1 p/ [, I0 w• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators; w* o0 i* k0 r, `+ n# x

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups5 D( }' z2 f. t9 Q
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
. v$ T) k( b0 b• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.% f) q" u) x. F
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
, \& k) K/ N' s% d% F4 O& j" V3 m
Qualifications0 O/ B/ B) K# E& S0 B9 o5 d
- University degree in a related field;
3 m8 {9 T* H& W5 Q4 C3 z- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
* q/ S+ ?0 X) g% v/ e- F6 ^4 X- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 0 K7 s: D1 r0 {
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
' x, F1 c l* `7 Y6 h$ v1 N/ E; E1 B- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
