Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team. 2 R, T3 k- }& n) z4 K1 X4 ?. e) X

/ l! K5 I3 @0 b4 q- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community9 Z$ P" g: w+ J; _% U2 t' d% E W+ _# V+ Q
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
+ U0 {8 D! K* T) x/ g! n- }5 y- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services+ O& s' ~9 ?9 G4 N
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies6 m% m7 x8 o" B
- coordinate good will activities

- prepare and send AGM information to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist in writing proposal for ISP* N) f) V2 j( [- T% S& ?
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

1 s* x' U* r" v7 O; s8 B- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education + N7 \! K# a% F) R
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' R' i( f! _' [% }3 ? _5 y
- experience in community work and immigrant services
" v. W) `5 x4 r" W5 [6 E- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
