( j$ R/ |4 U2 G# c! ~# Z. ^Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team. . m, G9 V u3 j& @

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services( L) j N/ S' a" b' y1 q" N" b* q6 ^
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies4 O: j$ |# x! |
- coordinate good will activities

- submit information for community news

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.- l( ~6 {1 P- G, g. z
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- assist in writing proposal for ISP$ B3 j$ @1 H- S4 s) l
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP$ e; @$ K$ \+ u: ~; i1 `
- explore new ideas for ISP # j a" b. F8 `- T- s) u
- hold regular meetings with ISP team

7 k- u/ { c' w6 [$ R5 n+ ]2 v# [- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services
3 b* t) j2 k% P. Y. w/ K5 b4 R- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
