The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University6 |7 R8 c5 Q) n: ~. u' U0 e
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
' C# ?, f9 r3 A: p! f/ y9 f1 w eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese, A9 G. D3 ], d& \
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and$ g$ P. N! D9 v& I; {# f7 ], C2 Q" L
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on/ L% ]; ?* b9 ^3 @0 Z
this broad land.
5 H. j p a$ M6 ~9 c) R$ Z
1 i- w& X' v9 M) Q+ }/ WWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
# D+ O8 J% `5 @5 n& E: b6 m contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
6 y% O) l& I9 ~7 `5 d; b2 k talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in: {& \3 i o/ w) N0 o& i
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
/ V# ]8 [: b( b3 t" X# z ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
: X; m& o1 \1 l+ M Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
9 U: B; j7 g- d3 Z* _ lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
1 d( }3 n# w& A7 {- B6 @ sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
* y1 M: ^$ K7 s- j5 ?" s ]( H/ \ stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
; l. p/ H [% p! Q, R performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your* e3 l* P) i$ O# f. U$ t
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up$ Q$ h, O& j7 U2 o9 E8 ^% W6 _
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since1 g f7 Y% r8 P( H& T
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.
* J# I9 {" v5 d7 ^3 [4 `
- c% q' x7 l1 c6 o+ C' g" DMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also$ Z% K' f: k5 d9 N8 h( ?
on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
