FUNCTIONS:
: _; e3 J8 Q0 ^: m! H5 I7 `2 gCommunity Services requires individuals to provide quality customer service to the public at community leisure centres across the City. As a Recreation Facility Attendant you will:

Collect fee and admission charges.) D$ ]/ j9 z3 O1 i0 G* Q. }

Complete daily cash deposits.- x4 V+ q% X0 m, r/ |) B; ]

Handle customer inquires by phone and in person.

Register patrons in programs.

Perform accommodation setups and inspections.

Perform basic administrative duties including word processing, data entry and generating inventory reports.2 l  c- L" a6 {, ?

Sell sundry items, prepare a daily deposit, keep daily attendance records and enter statistical data.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade with emphasis on general office practice or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved school/college.

Some experience in customer service, cash handling, and computer applications.9 p' I- d6 |6 K# ~& g

Possession of current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required prior to commencement of employment.

Assets: Customer service training and familiarity with a variety of computer software programs, including point of sale, registration software and other facility related computerized equipment. In addition, knowledge and experience in the fitness industry.' k) s! V* M% d$ u$ [0 N1 f
Note: A security clearance is a condition of employment. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Security Clearance letter from the Edmonton Police Department. , ]( F! t) N( }5 Y4 `: r# O( s

HOURS OF WORK:
" f; _; O& c6 x  J7 B! Q1 O7 YUp to 30 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday. Early morning, evening and weekends may be required.7 U3 B  v6 [* A  ]% D
Shifts vary based on facility operating hours,
5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

SALARYRANGE:
( i$ g) d3 n; j* v/ P6 Y21B, Salary Grade: 003, $14.55 - $17.97 (Hourly). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
