ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
% M$ f8 C& ^: @strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
/ N' d6 Z* d& s7 Aobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
( B6 i& z- b$ X' x3 c8 ?related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
  p" b8 ?' i6 irequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
+ ~% B' `- }5 w0 f; m/ D% W2 R* q* Zcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
/ H! u# P2 C. y+ B$ K- n4 w1 O3 mover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
+ p8 D! Z1 t! G* Qis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
& U7 x4 c3 [  G: S) _salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
