ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

- @8 a; E' ?# u% Y5 wQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
0 Y. c6 f# T$ x5 J8 r0 [% ifrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
* J1 A3 ^- `' N8 V1 f" j( dis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
1 ~; T2 x" B+ Rthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
