ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
/ z" O4 z8 Q$ o" B+ ~University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
( D$ `, V8 z. Z) {8 T7 }$ l4 `recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
: j$ |5 p- U$ Z* `related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
% x) N( W4 g  I& `( k( ~0 Z$ Z( urequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
/ n2 h/ T) G3 f8 cover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
* Q* `( `  O  D& s$ [* k, N9 Lis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

2 Y- h3 N+ V' T0 gThis position is conditional to a successful application of external
3 U- c1 A! M* U  vfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
