上周三市议会批准了新的策略。该计划包括以下项目：
重建伊利沙伯室外游泳池，该泳池由于泄漏现已关闭。

增加五大喷雾公园。
建设两座带沙滩的水上公园。

在2007年10月市长Mandel.斯蒂芬在竞选连任时首次提出在埃德蒙顿市区建泳滩的设想。
