If the engine oil is frozen, what we can do? Can Block Heater works?

I think the engine oil in my car is frozen. I try to boost it with another car and it 's still not working.

我觉得block heater是管打火的，跟机油没关系。
我的车子前天早上打着火后，机油灯一直亮着。

there are a few kinds of BH that help cars start from extreme cold weather,
4 g' ]) w. X7 s4 @basically ,  BH keep the car warm by heating up the oil pan-which keeps the engine oil from frozen, or by heating up the coolant, and keep the engine block warm.
" z# Z( k' ]; t- cEither way, the engine shall not be frozen with use of BH.

- A9 y9 X) c2 \2 QIf you do not have BH on ur car, by using synthetic oil you can also prevent oil frozen from happening.
A good synthetic oil, 5w20 or 5w 30 , or 3w 20 has a pure point of -30 to -40 degrees.

do you think using a hair dryer may help to warm up a car a little bit?

# E& @! ^6 `" q+ d5 G$ x, t% \不行用表量量BLOCK HEATER的电阻，应该是50欧姆左右。
