- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.0 B8 V# A( T7 y' Q6 c
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

4 ~- S; \, k6 M6 }2 M- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community+ l" ` F( x( v+ d/ u5 t% s
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services& `8 l& \' z$ l) w1 g1 }
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
! m3 Z9 y2 K6 g. Q3 T% v3 h- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies0 V4 C- j" }! u V1 _
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
; {" @3 h, f5 B: J+ I3 Y3 Q- update ASSIST website
/ o; x9 E+ m& t, K& l" S K9 E- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
' m( m; |+ T- y- y0 m) V- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
* U+ G# S0 Q" w3 z" S) y- assist in writing proposal for ISP
2 P% S. z8 g* o- write quarterly and final reports for ISP, {! n! r, ?) U: y `
- hold regular meetings with ISP team) Z+ ?9 [ f" s! R
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required), G! H$ n# v2 }& [6 E
3 T1 q+ A+ s7 {Qualifications
1 I2 I* D% s6 V% z8 P- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ( r. }7 Z* N& ^2 p
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills, C9 k: X! h+ Z- l
- experience in community work and immigrant services( e1 C) `& b; e! b; i9 S/ d
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
