Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
2 P0 ?5 [  \5 |( @-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
9 Z  y" C! O$ r-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

1 W3 o/ u1 R% d7 J- |; A' e+ N8 fQualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
% H% S& Y/ m' ]' H-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Position title: Community Development Worker
(Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
  c9 @' \' ~$ A6 \-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
! Z% f9 W5 y8 D-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
% m8 n# u4 _( }; k2 s, f-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) k5 ?! \% t' y! U-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
* p6 o3 h1 E2 c2 ]4 n* B-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
5 R# [6 H9 v! ^-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
, y/ ~: E4 F8 I9 u-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
