Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.! j% i0 f4 ^* s
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker6 l3 `- ?( a1 [5 \2 c0 j/ y
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

n, W/ A/ i5 C$ L- m' i1 X3 j- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community; y$ ~" h8 h' J0 n
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
- Z) z$ o3 ~( L; W6 O( L G- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
' @7 [3 \) z* ~* M1 F9 l- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% t+ E' `! ?. T: ]- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
/ z6 |5 g. x$ f# H9 e- update ASSIST website
) G ~1 Q3 y& `" C% N. ]" N- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
p% {+ B; Z/ j W. k- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services; Q0 t: X* }" `; E$ a% T
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
* |$ `$ r, A7 [& {% ]1 i( c4 j) X- write quarterly and final reports for ISP3 L+ Q I; w* Z- I; ?; \# H
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
- [ s0 ]* [" P S3 E: E/ H5 j) q- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required) m* Q* Q5 e9 i0 n4 m

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services, }, Q( M/ G Z2 I1 i" s* ~- `
