- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.7 T1 j4 ? X+ ~. p' i
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker0 w4 M* D( g- {8 T) A8 J' ]
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team8 @3 ^/ M1 M3 g( |

Qualifications:$ o) r. D* _; @- X& D) J; C! h
- post secondary diploma
) T8 |$ j/ O; f* U/ P3 M- customer service and office clerical experiences4 i6 e' W! e5 \: z
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community$ T& @' [- T- C
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
5 J7 S- W# j4 y5 g. Z$ T" z- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
6 y7 d. s6 E7 g) w& h' M, B$ J- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies8 b+ O2 u: J2 s# d' L% f3 u0 z
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members' e2 O8 _+ {' ~: D& G
- update ASSIST website7 g6 p7 E4 W) \9 s) Y0 b
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre1 ` U4 u. }9 Y, P9 S! s
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services! e" f0 y9 |# l1 W' q" M* j
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
' o0 z" P8 h! p8 t# @- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
! A4 l% u: e1 A. |- hold regular meetings with ISP team8 B7 A+ p/ D) Q( q( R8 k
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
- ^+ l9 W' e \; {5 N- update membership database: c1 y0 |% J8 a; }- u( V+ E
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ l1 S/ ?! V/ L) q- M6 I
/ l. Z( y* p; k4 BQualifications
! I3 l$ g% r, Y& F0 L, H1 m- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 2 ?* q5 f2 y8 O& x$ r K
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
" }) E7 Z' n- \- G8 M- experience in community work and immigrant services
