- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community8 k8 ]5 S& r, r; h, Z' D% H, b H
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services3 H" `3 _% [- f1 \3 f+ K; f
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
/ m% H- \; L/ _3 I$ v$ w% [# @- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies: l/ R9 z+ ]* ^ N" F
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
: a4 @3 d3 W% C1 B) h- update ASSIST website
% K$ W9 w1 Q9 u# Q# T. ]2 G- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
) b: r% }+ m. j1 R% k- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time3 W) p" `/ A, A$ J, W. n8 X

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

" C/ R0 E, J' K+ h5 B- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education K0 f( R( E* F0 N( a# v0 f# y
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' J; r& ]7 N$ ]$ i$ C) \- experience in community work and immigrant services
& M2 j: ]1 f& e- C8 Y( q2 G- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset. B( r; C4 |5 p) g& U. a! f
