Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker % ^' c d2 T9 B Y, i
(Full time: 35 hours per week)

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.3 X3 E, k9 M5 y/ A. D
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
- W3 q' G1 @# c1 g- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team w- y% H% W6 x' e% M+ E5 a

Qualifications:
4 f! D2 F7 I( [$ d6 o- post secondary diploma % W' d6 y: u# k9 Z5 K$ ?: o' M
- customer service and office clerical experiences: \* }6 n9 A6 Z! Y/ E0 D
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset j; m4 C7 I" |+ C8 e

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community" H8 r% U8 h( @4 ^9 E' {
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
' {: T6 S3 `( M4 @, T2 c4 h6 ~5 X- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services/ r9 V& a! D* ?: ^/ _
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
. C& A. p* i) ^# ~. }3 \- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
- g0 }% U3 ]* ^2 b" b9 O- update ASSIST website
' F) \- q4 L% l; V3 Z6 O: u: n$ M- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre2 t; Q7 F+ U0 ^$ y. {
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
9 I: R8 }; Y/ D* {8 Q/ ^* G- assist in writing proposal for ISP
0 e6 ^& x6 k! }- write quarterly and final reports for ISP, {8 ?3 q; a, o- ^4 E: g( I
- hold regular meetings with ISP team5 W/ U0 z" S4 `) U
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
5 B& u( l/ K) w/ e- update membership database% R5 k }/ V$ f$ f
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

1 q. [# P- l" j$ A/ {5 n- [Qualifications' a# U3 O: R* `2 ~ R! K* v
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
. }- }+ d. r1 W4 U- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 m" A a+ }0 W% N( j* }
- experience in community work and immigrant services
+ c* A+ w2 P: |+ v- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
