Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

. u' e P! x B/ v- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
3 g# l& ~ ^; e# f1 q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" Y" e$ @+ Y7 `4 |1 x$ u2 {- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
5 K% ?# P/ v% R, p7 C+ f" C: P- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
$ N0 Y' y* M D& F- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& ^& `% w( f0 z W" K- update ASSIST website
6 F' Q/ ?2 D- L- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
) A8 G3 [; b7 v; s- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services$ k! S# M1 y. V& W Q" o& E( f
- assist in writing proposal for ISP% H1 G7 ~' D% e6 l9 K5 w" Q
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP% |6 i/ f- ? h8 C- W, \) j
- hold regular meetings with ISP team u' n. p* y0 r
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
c; y% ]; J9 v* \- update membership database) z4 e9 c$ {6 \- c# t) N$ x7 ^
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)8 G; P0 ~7 m, t8 r/ |

Qualifications' `) v4 _' E+ L2 n
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 5 K! ^, ]& q5 C- U
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
`8 W1 y) m$ R8 b- experience in community work and immigrant services& c5 ^7 `2 f9 J! i
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
