Duties
7 Y# F( D4 [- A) k. L# a# A4 EWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
4 |, ]0 D, T* ~% b4 VResponsible for specialization in workstation image management
" \1 V$ c" D- [6 s: vResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
" Q# K7 w! ~' I5 u5 w% \6 YWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
# d. ^6 _: N' e/ REdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System

! x$ R* s( P! d, ^. m% z6 B8 y! ~Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases

" n9 b# ]- N- c, J7 eTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
2 S# T. I# h4 [Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
6 A3 f1 X- V4 W( X3 O( LMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
5 o+ h0 t- n0 @. S0 D# {: B8 C. xExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
9 Q$ y8 t& Z6 XStrong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
