 5 f. a; R" d# T" y5 D    * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis+ N4 @$ m" e& f% }8 p, b
 * Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography: C4 ^& u0 W7 ]1 N3 S# ^, r! o
 * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
 7 A  G1 z1 w2 i4 ?3 V6 ^4 V) P8 M    * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client9 J: U$ M) o$ J, t
 * Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry
 1 p. @0 b2 K% m' p, q7 c5 d    * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals
 # X4 @% C3 z" `( L, O' y3 G    * Provides safety training to students, staff and visitors using the lab& l9 D7 {1 r6 A: v4 S
 * Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices; \# c5 A5 H. T: @8 S& C% Y
 * Assists with laser ablation analyses on the multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICPMS)" M+ d0 r9 N. z6 h2 b

 9 S. o/ m0 p) E! v1 A6 `4 S4 g    * Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred2 z) [2 W8 r2 m' b7 I" f* {, t, |
 * 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)
 / e2 W' K- ]" A. ?    * Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
