8 P3 V) y- @- L: ?* L- M * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis4 G" E4 k o% B* L) b* K0 w4 r+ U
* Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography$ @$ Z6 G; P* q$ \# C; e5 d
* Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
$ W% M' {9 j# q( h' P6 s7 e# Z * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client

* Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals9 a$ H8 e5 p7 U2 h' M; K
* Provides safety training to students, staff and visitors using the lab8 @5 D, T) Q- v7 z3 h; K
* Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices

* Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred
) W( z' L) \; B: x * 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)
