* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
: a- W7 ~' Z7 r0 z7 U * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities9 T b2 |0 c# @1 F: ?
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes0 ] g) q7 t/ W/ j. ~$ }+ ~$ D( N
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
$ g" O2 e1 t- M$ B8 [& @9 E * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders# H- m% L( e9 }1 q
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements5 v1 b0 f7 }* e6 _% m0 ]
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs: r$ G. E; V6 R& H
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
+ X+ S* o; v: a: S) c5 C * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
7 A$ ]8 R; o: q4 a/ A * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
" K! B7 @% s8 [7 s * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media/ u- Y3 ?1 n# }* Z% T
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results" M n6 ]! j" A8 k F7 \ M, c( H# w
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
: s- R7 _& D$ ?' f- M' H; H; ?
! M7 l8 G3 z5 u- V& Y% q * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred& x3 Z) w& K+ c; f
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
/ m. {# w% H% n+ a+ E- n% U4 S: Y * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
, I2 a% L! ~2 r2 F0 ? * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies: c# j2 E, I; n# t+ o+ f3 l* A
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills! n/ y& m* L9 ?+ S t3 m& x
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
5 O' S; w: n/ D * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation): e+ J- e4 Y& U% o$ [
