    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
) I. D7 W5 O! q. _0 S; w/ u* R    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
1 M- u7 S3 {& ~* I; f; ]6 l% m% }    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
7 ]( \7 B7 j* o: c$ s; u; f    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat' e& j( E1 h3 }6 S$ X4 Z; s
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
8 R, B: M* i; D# t    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements0 s, H9 y4 Q, g# v& V
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
/ Y4 m! U3 M& m9 E; B" Q    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director4 D3 U9 ~5 {# w) m7 R+ A4 |
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

# t: H; D  r+ t: L) J    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
* d8 V. s8 c* y4 o0 J    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
: I! x7 V, O' u1 n) y( [7 Y    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies2 Y/ t- Y; p3 ~5 B, E

    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred% e" Z* H, P% `
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth! W6 N- U' M; Z) {
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset2 I$ Z  V0 Q/ l+ t+ u. w+ g# P% Z7 o
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
4 R2 ]* `: T2 h; ~; _2 |    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills8 |2 j0 M3 s9 A' d& L
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
; v! m$ m% U; F/ C4 J  @    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
