* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program' W- R+ u3 D7 e9 i: e
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities! }) g3 t1 }7 A/ ]9 D- X+ J
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes! Y& x+ c$ e! J: u
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ q' @' n0 T" ]6 T4 Y. a
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
6 T1 }$ I8 @# ^& x * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements: M5 a0 g, A3 n& G5 l: X% s5 ]
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs7 _$ e) l2 ^; ^9 m% F
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director, }, K* m M( T; U4 o
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

$ y. n2 }1 v& @' t * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media' M9 a6 C1 S- s
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
6 i* r# S& K# X) I1 Z * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications

0 C5 A; [# W- }2 T: Y * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
$ f' X: R0 v% W% H+ |+ `$ d; X * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth/ j/ d- v$ r( _/ G
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset- N8 l3 i, g3 q" ]) t" k
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies: g& G3 |+ s/ B
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills$ M: Y' L; @5 `* J! F. w. ^
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning, |4 B/ s, j8 O3 [" v. \
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)* h, b+ D( w+ z1 R2 i* p
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
