( j$ b5 J" O# Z& f9 S" ^    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
- O- ?  G; i5 ?( J& j6 w7 `) ^* ?( `    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities$ }: @& y1 O) a1 i! j9 [0 u
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
- }# u  }' o. x% c( M4 g    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat; O5 m6 o( q% F2 {3 F, m2 i1 l( i# q
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders; Z4 Q- g! V( l4 a4 @2 a+ k8 ~7 i1 x
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
- |( X6 \+ v4 J9 Q6 [6 t: o    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs. W5 D1 R2 J! r6 o6 f
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director( E5 T% t$ w6 l# @, I
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning- N. ], j- J8 t' A
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials, v+ }1 O1 C  b3 j
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
) ?1 b5 g- X6 g! d  p# x. b    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results; E( a3 o) C' d' n! `
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies7 E& X2 B+ S' @% J. n: g. \

3 p& E1 o% [/ H* P- ^% {: v  r
    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
# m* C5 u# A2 m& `    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
; W" U: Q. R+ m3 _( I+ w" r) k    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset" L& S: G) e  y) j7 ?: U& ~
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
' \1 p4 o- `: {/ S* r    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills, E& a- ]" q" J! \9 \
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning: |( d% f9 h" T5 I
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)' ?1 M4 \8 j$ ^1 K# u" D4 |
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills9 G& x  f) l/ r
