Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

$ S# F' P8 T0 s- w8 f% ?- m" O/ wMajor Responsibilities: $ B8 n/ K% i. i+ Q( m& D. ~6 H
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
$ R5 |1 U& _% L& l |2 w• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
3 G! g) u2 j1 R0 l5 b0 x( }• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ' z' v/ B7 t: v+ n _* Z% ~( X
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
) }3 p1 w9 P/ j6 J6 D• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
4 z8 E7 O8 r& m1 }! s• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
% N, ?' I* E% z8 ~! ?8 ^' D5 F; F% P1 S• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.$ Q, {! v0 n8 y2 ~( z9 ] @: l
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
% ~$ ]; s' }9 ^0 J4 H• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
6 M' f# W) T$ w0 l3 j1 D% A' P• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
7 z# P4 \; C* p8 Q+ U& C• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.7 K P$ X' }- |
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.. M) }3 l+ G: u! L$ i( d. M
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.- Y4 v* o# |5 C% K1 j
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

8 ]' s- D8 j9 K+ ^, \) r1 i0 O• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
' A7 t! e/ {& R, i• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
; G$ q$ d- `8 j2 `. A• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
1 A$ I$ {% ~. Q1 G• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ) z: ] T* k/ j& ~3 `
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential3 ~: ]( R( O% {4 g9 u
• Not scared of heights/ h3 U# F+ T1 ~3 c# `
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
5 l$ d$ \5 S: H( C• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
