The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could

> and over again people tell us that they could never
> begin to understand the
! f: P* N( G) F: w9 t* r3 c% w> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
> who does understand and
> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
> happened when God gave the
! M! s3 t8 N! D+ v8 X4 {> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
8 o& I! j- C; f3 ~& V5 T1 h> sinful lives and to purchase
> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
; b3 v8 Z, K3 K( N> His son from the dead
; ~. k* e; N- y/ C# |3 W' C> and conquered death. It is though this event where
% q" t. P  I, E9 b& d% }> human history was
) X( q6 |  w/ E. f$ D7 Y> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
; y( f8 z" p4 P: H/ ~: R> hope. This hope, that's
3 z2 W; x+ W  `6 N/ q1 N5 ^' O% ^> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
: u  r, h" F  ]6 Q7 ^8 }> certainty based on the
/ [3 l# ~" ~1 I6 i> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
> anticipation and a longing
/ ]' p2 H2 P+ d, @> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.

4 T) _( O6 |' f4 C7 |5 }4 Z> will ease the pain of our loss, as the Prince of
( c4 r$ y2 x8 P> Peace comes to our hearts
& r- L+ }5 `; D> and says to be still and know that I am God.
