Our programs are located in 12 locations across the city of Edmonton, including a francophone program. Children’s services include four half-days a week of early childhood education. Each class of 16 children has a teacher, two teaching assistants, a part-time speech-language pathologist, and a social worker plus community volunteers. Special services (occupational therapy, community health nurses, cognitive and mental health assessments) are included as needed. Social workers provide family advocacy and on-going parent support, including education groups. See www.abcheadstart.org for more information.
