Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
" u. |# b8 m8 Y5 r•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
- K/ }; E6 q7 {: F) _: I•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
/ m. T( q6 q  ~•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
# G" t$ c" j- b•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
; q$ t, X* ^5 n% P" d) ]•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor
) h$ E2 j; |1 C7 n5 m
Qualifications
5 ]& ]$ C  v8 c) f•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
# @  N, X; |4 y6 J•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
