* i# G- _+ r; B8 b; V' rPosition: Driver, Furniture Donation & Moving Program, FVPC / Context: One of the programs delivered through the EJHS - Family Violence Prevention Centre is the Furniture Donation & Moving Program (FDMP). This program partners with Alberta Job Corps and assists people leaving abusive relationships with free donated furniture/non-emergent moving services.

The Driver is responsible for delivering furniture, picking up donations, moving individuals. The Driver also supervise the swampers provided by Alberta Job Corp who are work trainees.

Qualifications/Skills Required: Valid Class 5 Operators license + Drivers Abstract (no convictions, less than 3 demerit points); 3 years driving experience; previous supervision experience an asset; Criminal & Child Welfare Record Check; able to follow direction (both written/spoken) but work independently; must be reliable & dependable with a proven ability to follow through on commitments; understanding/sensitivity of family violence a definite asset.( O; T6 H7 T4 N% q ` v z

Responsibilities/Tasks: Drive truck & complete deliveries, moves, donation pick-ups as directed by the program administrator; liaise with FDMP Client Donor Liaison Worker & Alberta Job Corp regarding general operations and crew supervision; supervise swampers; complete and sign vehicle inspection form daily; follow local, municipal and highway safety regulations and traffic laws; relate in a professional and positive manner with donors and clients. & W# X' i3 M, S
