If you dont care if it's purebred or not, you can adopt one from SPCA, Petcetera, or Petsmart, where they have new-born or very young puppies occasionally, and adult dogs anytime. Adoption fee will be around $200 including the spay/neuter surgery fee and the vaccination. This is the most economic way and helpful for those poor animals.

& T1 _# A% r: P) A$ YOtherwise, you are recommended to find a responsible breeder in the adjacent area, which is more reliable than buying from kijiji or other personals. The price will be of just a little bit different or even the same. But you can get much more from responsible breeders, such as health guarantee, vaccinnation shots, pedigree certificates, CKC registration,...and so on.
