A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
2 E. C2 ~1 u$ U2 B# l6 ^• Standard Child Care First Aid
, }% h' K5 E' K6 H• WHMIS
9 ]8 s. h2 S$ M+ S: V* U/ z0 e* i3 o• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care ?, \( A) S' Q# g$ B
• Components to improve communication skills
3 r5 @) F9 r$ M" k6 g• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

^! i2 u; i$ c2 `! d• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
, x& V6 { P; o2 Nof Canada
8 n8 d) V+ ] T% y- n a• have a Social Insurance Number
K' { S5 h* y0 j• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
. X7 v, H* v f+ E4 m• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
; Z$ }6 O; i+ S• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
' n5 a; F5 z' r3 M) A# }5 kthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
& G/ G7 y8 y; d A1 @ Q% y• be unemployed or underemployed., v% h8 _6 Z/ j" ^/ [. `& B- \( M
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
