A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

/ y) |# B5 o8 o7 {! p8 ?% t• Standard Child Care First Aid2 F' x7 p3 t3 v/ G
• WHMIS' Z% o6 Y& g1 [, l7 `* f% u# S' S* l* h
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care! X6 b4 X) i0 O2 E$ f
• Components to improve communication skills2 D$ e# i. P* g! N3 r' n
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search' d) X1 l) B% v; k' g
• Practicum Placements3 ?% U5 G. k+ \3 u/ S
Eligibility Criteria
8 ]. k, r1 P4 `3 w' `: ]- K+ d6 K4 r• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
" S) ^$ y g; C. z3 f W1 u+ ?of Canada
$ X/ k/ G" l; S, _6 {' r• have a Social Insurance Number
5 z3 D+ G: c6 r% J; l; w' d8 `• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check3 G* }6 d# I/ s+ ^
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
" S) O- |! Y6 O% v9 A& Y, e• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time5 }6 w9 s8 L1 ^+ @& O
program
$ S% d' t; W9 x! J! r4 i. r3 h0 \Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
' z8 m! T0 m/ n2 `, w: E2 o* zthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course I" U/ ?; b) l4 S6 v; d
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
