Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
' J, ]9 c# A: t) DResponsibilities:
( z. ~  X5 k* Z: o$ H- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
5 U9 x0 v# n: S( W# ~) `6 u/ S- Provide orientation for parents
/ t  o3 W% o7 y5 m- Find sponsors to enhance program
' }9 `, H$ N5 T# z& w& D- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency
  ]# r5 _6 H" R
Qualifications:
) [8 L; K+ I. D5 ^& V
" R; n" U: t+ N0 L+ ~- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
; z4 O2 D% O! J) Q- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- C7 n) F+ d* U3 x% Z, E- good computer skills
: M) u* R( g, L! {4 q7 W! S- leadership abilities
) @2 R: j7 [: f- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
