Duties

  O7 l0 C4 `$ F, M& v    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* O# z) ]) G0 P/ n" ~) B# D    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
* q/ F9 y/ [+ \+ G    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
) T5 @% a' j. _* m& X    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications
0 f3 L7 U" Z! f" G
    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
$ Y# y/ F* Q) V$ c/ D) TSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
