Duties" v9 v# J( d- S& o3 H
O7 l0 C4 `$ F, M& v * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications* x' ?+ N. r, \
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis8 s; B. Z) X- e- B3 }$ b. n
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* O# z) ]) G0 P/ n" ~) B# D * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
* q/ F9 y/ [+ \+ G * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
) T5 @% a' j. _* m& X * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs% G% d+ L3 ~, J9 G1 ~
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment, ]5 ^0 S. ?5 K2 {

Qualifications
