Duties

    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
/ k# D, P1 |; V& Z2 w    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
7 ~. h( M  h) |4 z- O8 w    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
0 e- M" ]5 O7 o0 Y" x$ x7 p2 s    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


& d! S2 ?3 E% N9 p好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

% c9 n2 Y0 L) k. \7 eSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
: H; I$ D9 ?' l% ^! P8 m- Iwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
