Context - Office management/administrative support to the elected full-time officers and occasional support to elected executive members. Duties cover a variety of topics in which judgment/initiative are required in the research, selection of material & presentation in completion of assignments.

Note: this position requires a high level of reliability, autonomy/confidentiality in day-to-day interactions with union members, labour activists & labour allies. , }) @& R$ h9 B5 j8 L3 q

Qualifications: A minimum of (5) years office experience; high degree of competence in office practices; proficient in the use of modern office equipment & current computer applications - MS Office 2007 - WORD, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook./ \! _4 T, k- l; T2 |% n7 ^3 o
) j7 _3 J% X% r: Z( p/ J5 l' h, s6 Y
Responsible for a variety of communication functions such as: monthly newsletter layout, website/computer software; highly developed administrative skills & a thorough knowledge of business English, grammar, and spelling, plus basic math abilities; must have a proven ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and security.
