Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009( C$ u3 {1 A1 v+ m. X( L% B

Responsibilities:& \- P. W' ?, p
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
; F+ ]6 _" a! g: ^9 U (ages 6 to 15)
7 ^2 z3 L- W! V( J- Recruit children for summer programs
4 d9 M5 X- i" n1 c% F9 r/ U: w" S- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
2 K8 {, T1 F5 p% e: U( K5 \8 Q- Record keeping
% I; G# L' f; Y. A( w- Provide orientation for parents
S& ?) _; w9 C5 C- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency& J& v9 Z; @( E9 A o6 O9 s( Q0 G
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager) `+ r$ { [) t

2 B5 z6 A# n0 U5 t+ ]- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
9 V# Z R! L$ Y6 j- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children1 o( u5 T j1 X5 g
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills& |- [' Z( F. `* O' V. B
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities! L, M. l8 n* |
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese- N& h8 U3 B, ^% R1 i5 G* g( L
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& v5 H9 L. A: `- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision+ z% s3 X1 \# C7 \" ]
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)4 w8 V* R) c! g- C u: ^) ]% B; k
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
3 W- |, g, `2 j k8 d- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) ; Y! _% ^; `# q9 m2 X* |
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
! m% X' t2 [2 y6 K- s) u- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
