Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009/ p$ _! c* d) p% ^

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the 5 I; } r# M ? Z
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
( u6 t7 f, f, @6 {5 F- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
( K9 F6 t& K: i5 E i- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies2 a4 w2 b- j6 Y* v
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program
! D, c$ \! S2 |- h5 X* J Coordinator
& e, z& X0 V7 {$ u$ ^1 A ?- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:9 I1 z7 c" C4 d; m2 ], T3 m4 X
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
4 x% \; ]! n; ? Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education. N" }7 }5 h4 h2 f
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
: l, H* M6 q" N0 u6 j" i4 w. Y- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills! ?- i5 @5 v6 @* @2 r" `
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities. I4 U% q$ y! {
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
7 t& R1 V8 F' g; Q- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities/ j5 V" W! j# p5 G0 H! @
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
n+ }5 O5 P* @9 x- Returning student (should return to school after summer)
' z$ @" ~, o5 j- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
7 L2 j& L8 ]9 N8 z0 O1 M, W- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
1 y6 N5 d9 M( p and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
, h8 t2 v5 T: N2 U# G; C* }% c' Q( p- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
