Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
! R# L4 b" g) ?& H; M# u/ k-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

' h1 l2 k% ^# z6 [Qualifications:
4 A! Q) g/ [% b# A# A-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
. u" r5 A6 y) L-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
1 e& E4 E5 g# |! L+ J8 [-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
! \7 c+ A2 r, D" T- X4 V-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
4 ]  V) w/ \& t-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
- ]/ D+ O& _) T# S( q* j-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

-        $14.00 per hour
