Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
) y6 w2 n" x  M% V" x        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
3 X" U% _9 r$ N9 u6 L4 T0 I9 Q8 W-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
% R( `0 r2 j8 Z' k% W-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
' y7 e* g& F* p-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
% x7 n$ N" t7 G" u-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
1 `9 v6 B4 F9 Q% G$ C. @( M+ N6 B-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- T' L7 T# ^" z-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
2 T: O! ^, H5 ?! M) X: ?        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
