Responsibilities:
0 G+ f$ I9 ?) b/ ?& }+ W/ m7 w/ G: KResponsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
1 T  G" r4 T. K5 k2 VParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
- |  ?7 S" Q  D8 }' n- oTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
$ ^/ X% u4 L& p9 O$ HMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
/ D3 R5 U2 N, E, t" kProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
7 C" i, _/ {) f1 K1 M4 eDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
; S6 ?5 O0 ]. [, F, k6 j( B4 zWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
2 R, Y/ }8 u& ]7 \" z3 nGeneral:
  j( {  ]& d, y# B5 E% E) xDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
3 [* s: c! r/ ZExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
# [$ B# D% {4 hDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
0 t: a4 z) }* B. I+ d0 U2 k- k6 wStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
; y, u9 V" A7 D, Z3 W5 f4 W( sExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
& [5 W# K* ?$ v- w' IDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
( N' ?( q( m! ]/ J% p6 R$ VExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
; i" [, V5 o7 M7 Q! P. ]Strong SQL skills
Desirable:
