/ `3 m/ r7 T; b& C! vBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
! K. I8 E0 W% T, z4 M(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

9 U& Z) O/ v. i9 z9 D1 [6 |Key Responsibilities Include
  w  X" }1 g7 I. ^3 F" t6 p, xActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
1 G; t' Y( v9 r% k* _- K•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
; p/ a' Q7 g9 R* ~3 h•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
4 a( k8 F% Q$ i& Q: p•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
3 m, K' D7 Z' K$ z: l* W•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

9 ?1 t+ a) u4 R0 m7 L2 m5 H. ~" hThe successful candidate will have:
" n  V+ N2 V! E1 L•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
. s6 W) v5 s+ b; w0 X•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
