Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. . r5 |3 p* w6 C2 Z0 R: T

Activity Planning and Daily Activity
P9 w" i8 e5 _% l. V; n* M* W• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.1 l7 N- t2 L6 A+ g0 W+ w( I' ^
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ( I# X& C |) s) n& j/ l
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
# R8 M% q: u H9 k. [• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
. K+ d9 d5 q/ t& b. Q: i& d• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time. x! V w1 B' S
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.9 C# V! g5 d! v4 v1 I/ r! Y
9 w9 m4 p& E8 _2 }- fThe successful candidate will have:
: x5 y ?, ~6 O% L7 [• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting7 ~8 [ c+ F f% L
• Experience with children- a- r, A- L% U. |6 @7 d5 q! k
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth ' E1 v! K+ i+ s+ N" ^$ F
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.' X% N3 e$ b/ R
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 8 X: d, `6 H" L" \2 o
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check - M: Z) Y( E. X4 S: J! _
