A baby born prematurely to a woman in Scotland who subsequently became the first person in Britain to die of swine flu has also died, a health official said Tuesday.

( o+ _1 v0 p+ ^# rA Scottish government spokesman, who declined to be named in keeping with government policy, said the baby did not die from swine flu.

The United Kingdom currently has the most confirmed swine flu cases in Europe, with 1,461 cases identified since April. Dozens of other suspected cases await confirmation in Scotland.
