The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.0 p: s$ c! l' L0 _

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries

• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers. D! F% h4 e5 u/ d

• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries4 U1 _. }/ X& ]8 }, R2 r
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 3 Z$ t/ h9 N! ^9 t
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
/ o5 K, u! X% |* Q% G& X! T• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
/ P$ K( S1 F8 C/ `& E• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution' S/ o0 R9 }4 f' ?! P! J( i* n
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

Qualifications:* G; q) v- ~8 r, @
/ D+ K" e) P" `& U3 e a* f! D
• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures/ ^0 S+ `2 j% w! W* i
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.7 W3 J4 e" F$ @
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset$ Y- r0 L( s% u3 S+ ~
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 8 D7 z' t$ }) x w; q% w
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion2 A( y7 ~2 o' J4 l. a8 Z
