Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
# C1 O& C; v4 q1 w) Lskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded. Z7 V6 ]9 c2 |0 ?, ]. I( Z2 _5 o
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
3 Q. s6 M/ ]! A3 @. iexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as E6 L- o5 ^9 V8 q
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food: K, H8 Z* m# J7 q+ J& W
services and others.

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian9 k& Y8 `# ^: N: ?; H( M
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:( I% a0 o5 Q p7 ?& Z9 ^' ]: l
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
- F) ^5 Z# f" q" K1 v! @' e* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post- c9 ?* e, q; u# I8 F3 e9 l

* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand# D/ W/ P* m& x2 s, v

* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed# ~. B8 g2 G4 Z
* Willingness to commit to a program and future job
