7 D7 Z- y( g3 j! R: PPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
/ v1 i1 g- Q( s# O. ~% I. X" d· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ( M4 m; s4 w" ~6 D) s+ ~
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
* G. F. z( m5 _with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the - g1 I6 V+ b, q5 ]6 _3 r) k/ k
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure + N Q# m P( H& u$ ]. {$ R: F
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.
& ]5 K+ Z" X8 I3 p· Attend and manage Special Events
: s9 F& y6 a1 k8 P% C· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 5 |7 d( z% W3 _2 u7 g
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 1 I5 i9 D Z( O" K% G
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers $ F0 q* F+ g ^2 s7 Z: D5 D! h& J
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ( F6 _# w; J" b/ `' t3 l
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
. U0 c* d5 ]2 K- @& w2 H7 C· Complete program administration, statistics and records 8 L% T+ b9 f0 G% Q O
" q O2 K% A* p, Q7 Y& eQualifications: 1 i. C- K+ ^8 F8 q& t
· Completion of 12th& k1 h' \2 _) v* t! l
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
- ~+ M7 D" g$ R# Y8 k* CAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. * y3 Y3 B2 \ g& ~: p
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct . a9 c. g% D! A
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
" i$ o8 l# k8 ]1 L5 {· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events + q# y! j. R9 U) A. ^; g
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
