Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: , W( y" h' ?* N. C& A9 e. s

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ' @* G/ b2 k) k3 y
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ) K' L5 [) I3 s, r7 o' i* f
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
- _- j, ^3 N- l# s9 gwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ! W+ g4 m: v2 ~/ }% G" ~- J( u
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
) o4 F$ L3 i3 Q: b! B, z( Wset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 5 f9 g5 w6 u! x$ ?# Q h
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
1 r2 }+ Z [4 e8 X2 u" xAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 7 X E8 M. V; E& S; Z' T) `
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 5 e/ ~7 }; S$ |, L6 o4 P
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ! a+ u$ j$ v' e+ x4 V k. M. }
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ) e- y5 L+ D. t% x; [( O
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers

Qualifications: 6 u: V, u4 |% t+ ~4 F5 L E+ ? h1 t
· Completion of 12th- l- E% ^4 e( F6 }* g o
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
; O: q0 H' e# u1 H# K! C2 F( S( sAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. + Q5 z/ L' P3 q" V2 {
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
, n! E8 V9 G* `* O. u1 m. aexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events " I9 ^! V* _8 F3 F, y" e
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ! X, u0 f2 s, r
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
