Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer ( R0 c$ ]5 P$ s
Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
7 F: x0 W; H6 p6 a- y m# g1 O5 B8 lOversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances " ^, ]% w* w3 D( }4 J
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods $ A* @4 E( ^- c' F# i
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas 0 \# }# q3 l6 h& n2 m
Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems * \+ M; d& C0 k; R
May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
