Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
" t5 z3 |" _$ y3 S1 V! ZAssemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
. s3 h* k6 H5 q( {# VOversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances $ p" A$ c) M# p B) }
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
0 d) T% X" @8 B* P% gUnpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
. F0 X1 Q, A5 uMaintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
t4 l5 T. M/ c; n7 q2 o& o. k( E" lMay operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
