CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.4 t: s1 Y2 ?4 s) @! W& R5 t

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.8 I V( C* [( _! f F: J' f

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.; e3 b" ~( G; P3 S

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.6 Q( I, y' ]# c6 t0 D

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.) [0 Y" V5 i6 K0 g0 P

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

* F0 g. h5 Q1 {1 m• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.% J3 v$ g5 k. P) q, Z

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 Q2 d3 D/ h+ M- ^, ^

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions) U* S* l+ ~ S0 W$ k( d, `' c

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.3 n- w- r; H8 r( R

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting. g4 q6 e5 T( y! l8 f3 y

% N8 g! m$ {- ~- V& ]9 f' ASkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.+ ]4 m6 i% |" }! ?: M; e$ ^
