- K/ @4 B. h+ g0 ?8 f6 Z8 K- bCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

. [1 w" Z( R$ _% n7 x$ `• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.) r2 l8 {' \* O  N9 a8 ~

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

6 W: V! M2 W+ i9 O• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.- r' ?) p5 V7 i: P

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.+ ~+ i  @0 y: t0 [( V- }5 z9 w

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.0 ]; B+ m+ S+ w/ T

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

$ N0 @, [% c3 L% Z, |• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

5 e1 y4 J6 v2 b* q3 a• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.* h- q0 d, f( e( x4 a) `

Fund Development  r3 Z1 @8 s) R

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
* i$ D) o, n( P& {8 M  |- W  E. `
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.2 n' B* ~# y1 E4 @' Z; Q# Y

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.5 T2 q5 A5 z; @; w# P  W

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.)
