8 l3 M8 E% R" A) O6 F6 ACHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.: Z* ?1 t4 W$ [- J

Key administrative duties:

3 Z4 X3 q# p d `6 w) z. i+ j• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.( \: W( d8 C( z o+ c+ J3 [" o0 n
) ^5 W- x' H9 F$ T• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.: E; c2 T2 c7 x1 T1 P

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.5 G% Q# O' K4 P

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

. _$ `" r9 j; m4 v• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

2 X0 L' i1 M& a( c• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.8 C& d% V3 D( u8 ^: h+ k

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 m6 `+ h" g6 l! A) j

, h4 Q2 p: c3 A* f4 b, l; s; aSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.5 m' i# ~: e ^ L

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
