CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.! K0 V, ^+ }1 E( I; F% @

• Complete data entry in various programs.6 u& V+ m; [7 t/ y/ W4 ^

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.% I* S2 ^  s' [  v' f4 N

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

+ k1 C2 G! e8 ?9 v" D) C• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

+ K6 d9 ]& f3 z$ Q9 H4 o- I• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.3 a3 c2 |* r! u6 \' m2 k

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:7 I% ^2 n  i+ k7 B- \8 L

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.* r. U: V$ P  c/ l9 @

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.. c8 }4 u% Z8 E8 m

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

0 a$ ^- m. v( {* a• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

' w& o5 H- \: M# K• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.5 Y/ x. ~" H# H

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.! G: [$ u  J( {; ]) B

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.- c9 r, I+ J# i

% }8 g$ o3 j- e( o  Z. B6 N" C) y• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 r2 e+ r- ]+ y( x

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
6 {  S; f2 ?+ [5 M; X) x5 Z# _4 j% Y. R# v0 H/ M+ t+ k; B
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events./ [3 ?" O4 M7 d% |4 t

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
