Police Service Preparation Program

This program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

Entrance Criteria
9 V* R4 d9 i, U# }/ c; \% F' dYou must be/have:
  l3 _0 [1 k& h3 z7 h• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
6 m3 \3 i; r2 z6 B7 R& G• Unemployed or underemployed
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
. D9 D" F# U# y: x: h9 E9 j* |• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
