  k( R0 @) W7 w1 QThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
, v+ @% d/ R  H0 J1 QAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
. X5 V8 l# V1 I6 C•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
1 Z5 [, h3 M, H4 R3 S4 ?. z+ b•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
. N2 \# Q8 z/ E6 Z/ ]; g6 {/ K•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
6 z7 G7 s6 u5 }, X•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
1 h& J+ n8 s/ \0 e, k6 [$ @- ]8 [•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
- q' Q3 t4 N+ Y* d•Lack access to professional networks
/ ?4 n1 b" G. s•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
  M6 O' l5 L) h& l0 j0 \The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
