Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
7 @8 O+ u9 g; f9 e0 r+ p-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
; `3 w7 C) ~- `-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
/ j4 P5 w/ {; Q0 m, G-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

- O5 |8 t8 m9 {5 Q# t+ GKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
7 q1 ~6 a, G5 j! T, _/ I$ w$ W-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
+ H3 n1 O- X# [! D-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
" I6 C/ }! I# Q! R; F5 G-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
* X) T" u. A4 k-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
0 w0 F4 L* E" @  L-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

4 ?9 h) Z2 K: F5 u) F/ `-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
