Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
, G8 {+ r5 V5 e' \) RTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

3 g/ f7 M& ?  [% JResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
4 b8 ]  T' y/ P8 Z# k% x& |0 e-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
0 @5 C6 {& R- k+ o2 t-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
+ l' ?3 ]& _: W: T9 U) d-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
0 z# j8 l& R* q" |( s* _# Y7 ^-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
) O, Z8 u5 A0 V-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
8 c8 v: |( I8 O4 j4 p) |-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
# Z% d2 e7 ^1 j-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
