Responsibilities:
. T1 I; I! m( ~0 P! O; q" w- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
+ ^( I+ a, j& I( k$ `- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling& w( |4 l, t; I: `. [5 |
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
# u1 | h4 O0 z- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
% v4 Q% p# i! @2 N) O3 R4 w# H2 H- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health4 ? ^% Q0 {7 W. j

Key Qualifications:/ u: [8 k, n; u2 P4 B
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
& H, M t! |; ^" B. J- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement2 r) B& M6 b# ?$ h/ q+ y+ V
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
* m. }. |) t! \2 L8 d4 _- Experience doing program development/ C3 f6 p" _8 T
- Strong organizational and coordination skills4 Q/ X7 {1 S& }5 ]
- Self-directed and able to take initiative8 Y8 m7 W! {& y0 h
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset8 U8 ]$ h( K2 }; i9 o8 V8 p# y
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license6 O2 }8 [: h. u6 d2 E9 \+ \& W

Assets:
, E+ |7 ]$ ?: x! u- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
