# U6 E' P1 J! w  o" sAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
  \9 E  Q; F, h. i9 h- x' wMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
! x4 j$ f: r* _& L( A$ kMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
9 O- _# i" C) t- m2 g; P$ y! EParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
2 D/ e  b: r; D( d5 T9 g! sMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
( I0 C& @6 A2 _3 _2 iMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
' y% G1 z& Z( b# @) HComputer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
3 e: t0 V: u) u% T1 e  y; ]; x2 o" rProficiency in a second language is an asset.
