On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.. C# c* v$ A1 u' c8 l. k0 U! i
' X i T/ L( K. M. PBring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:
; V9 A, U" I p, r" |9 u
$ a/ b9 T" \ ?" m) y @: Jlearning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut 5 u: w2 _3 c9 M9 D0 ]5 c% Y
digging for and examining fossils
[9 X2 _8 P1 E2 D9 I; E& `* ?exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
G7 a+ Q7 [( ^1 g& linvestigating insects
$ D% z2 y$ E+ hand much more!
4 X% _ e. O6 r- Q3 k$ _“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.+ F# b9 _" E. } c$ u. u

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
