Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
) l& l. M2 y" J3 j& L B& Z5 d1 J After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. 7 d/ x1 t) s* d9 H" F1 |* D
It is a cycle.! V% P$ b7 @4 s6 f3 U
t# ?2 I6 Y8 M' D( PWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
3 _1 ]2 v6 I9 a: KSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.: u* B' |4 {8 w' X" o8 M, s8 ]. k
The problem should be inside the bucket.

( Y* g- C9 L3 L# B' [When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.0 p* X: a- o/ y8 j
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
! b* v: c5 o# m3 [0 `# q4 M; AConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same./ }3 v$ g( A7 ]

The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
4 E( z, B4 `3 S1 i+ x7 UThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
; U: {7 V% l: ]9 q. q It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.
# H# t: Z" n* X* O, }8 W' n& }$ Y7 N- j- \* u' v4 y$ c% t- [
The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
