Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:2 J9 ~* o/ d) H! A
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. 6 A2 L# q& o7 i; t5 r# f* x+ M
It is a cycle.; h! T+ D7 T. w# ~

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.7 d: W) v- R2 e9 ~. B6 L) P$ I
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.* H8 M) a* p- Q& [: K* f
The problem should be inside the bucket.

Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.- J0 J. {) T0 Z$ O6 Z
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

) ^. U, B% h& @' ?The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
; @! u. ]3 C" B. @: pThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
8 H% z# X) h9 i- W It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. , i6 r5 H$ `( ?6 ^4 `$ z
# ]; _# S, z- T+ NThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
