Real world gas mileage post

Recently I began to monitor the gas mileage of my 90 Chevy Corsica,V6/3.1L 3speed automatic transmision. Curb weight about 2885 lb
The gas mileage measure method I got from a local friend is that fullfill the gas tank each time, put down the mileage and gas volume(litre) filled in, then
0 p9 M# h/ h& {( G2 f' ~% T. x% V" WThe gas mileage = (next time mileage - previous time mileage) /(next time filled gas volume)
After convent to MPG(mile per gallon), the result I got is 26 MPG

Official gas mileage is  MPG (City/Hwy) 4 cyl 24/33 v6 21/29

1 Litre =  0.264172 Gallon
