Position: Program Coordinator, Immigrant Women Asset Building program / Terms: contract position from April 2010 to November 2011 / Closing Date: 04.15.10. ! n" _5 _5 F, ^# N& d2 N- R

Responsibilities: To coordinate the Immigrant Women Asset Building Program; To work as part of a holistic team and with the cultural community to recruit participants, provide service delivery and evaluate the program. Staff and the cultural community will provide on-going support and direction to participants under the leadership of the Program Coordinator; To deliver and evaluate the program; To supervise staff and volunteers; To case manage the participants in the program by developing Capacity Mapping for immigrant women and ensuring a Portfolio Development experience.0 g5 R/ ~$ ?5 q! M! C, S& c8 C8 [$ G" B" C
1 ?! @( L1 F4 O4 R0 jPLUS: To support immigrant women in the development of social networks and community supports, including outreach (home visits), if needed; To advocate on the participants’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers; To ensure financial coordination and compliance of the program; To ensure documentation coordination of the program; report writing and the gathering of statistical information. 0 W8 \5 |' S1 i& V' c: r
" x# g+ G4 m- E: E7 u# n. T7 qSkills & Experience: Demonstrates strong initiative & commitment to providing quality services working in an intercultural environment with immigrant women; Experience in holistic case management;
5 ^& F' n' n" U$ L0 E5 uExperience working in multi-disciplinary/collaborative environment; Knowledge of Asset Based Approach, Portfolio and Leadership Development; Ability to manage time effectively, flexibility/open-minded; Ability to perform a variety of diverse tasks; Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in languages other than English/French; Ability to create a team/work collaboratively with other colleagues & other service providers; Ability to research; library, internet; Evening/weekend work required.
