  y. i* l- z3 j% z; L5 B  VThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

; L" ~9 L5 H7 k' D! ]§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers6 [) N' x7 u$ X: o1 R) u0 i
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 9 _) l3 h) m9 J7 _! d1 y2 `
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
9 s1 _. H# {3 C* r3 y) }§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
1 `) s8 X/ x2 G§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
9 _. s  q* o/ }4 j  `§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert$ c3 ^1 M* t5 D0 K7 e' M
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
" r& s* ?/ d7 \/ N6 a6 z$ n6 G§ Special projects as required& L: R! v5 q; g- u9 B1 r
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls" K8 h! z+ x6 B& Y) L: U& v

Qualifications:
7 A) n; p4 h3 F5 r§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
7 ?+ x6 J6 O& T% @# I! |5 |, ?§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
4 \: C6 t, z0 G7 g- `% z' H§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
. n& y1 C% ^+ |7 N5 _§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues9 i: G) W, Z0 i
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
( Z' g% D" `; c3 `/ G8 b% ?$ d§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
: S8 B' {; u0 t§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems/ I9 ~* C+ g( p4 Q3 l- O3 w

Position Summary:
& }/ j- k' V: e/ ?" |* Y9 J( eThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). & @. p2 B  U. ^, N/ m

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group5 a; `( g- Y- A0 f) W6 ~5 R: E1 f
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support3 n- Q$ c# Z4 S! ?( ~) ?
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
$ ?" E5 j( h' {: s6 P§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
4 |% D$ a5 [% D/ c! \, k0 g& i$ F% G) h§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
7 @# |0 I8 l& H, T, P) T2 h§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to0 J4 C5 y& I' Y9 V
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times3 i7 N8 |+ m2 o
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
5 `; C# V$ g: i" @* a§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures7 N  D# a) b5 ~4 B" L
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
" Y1 l" Q# M- t2 H, p. t4 {§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
" s: s, ~1 L7 U. t+ T§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert6 N" G6 _: y3 t0 ~$ i# _( ?
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management/ q. R4 u0 v8 T% Z0 `! E
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance1 s. e$ q$ S* |& k/ M$ C" o
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT8 W$ x! u' E5 V7 g
§ Coordinate and support end user training
# Z+ g" e( A) Z) E% \9 f  L  U§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
* _, ^* k- x$ J# |& I§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.# U& P) U" h+ X* a* W

8 H! A. ~1 y3 s3 D' f在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
