8 J. F1 ]- f- B* yThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.3 o Z, Q9 C# {3 U3 @& \

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
) J: B2 E. W a1 Q§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution . w) K% e, g+ h: z2 I f6 ]
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
+ r* {$ ^; J) F2 Y. r§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
. u5 D8 H' k$ F E0 k2 H§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
8 S, J3 N s, R- f§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert, _6 D) l; s7 j5 D
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:
6 w* X. L7 A4 g, s8 c, {§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
' J) U6 a8 W% v3 |; v: u. n§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
( ?, y) k: \3 q% {& v3 t§ Fundamental commitment to customer service) i4 B+ r( x% i: D# @* o* Z
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues' U; t @1 a5 k# U
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware! ~1 z0 a4 T- w7 y5 R
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
- W( m6 o1 G+ u! ?§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems* U+ |* C* P: ^9 b" w1 o9 C

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

" m- [3 U+ o2 C0 k ?) S( Y§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
4 G/ R2 E1 X" @# ^§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
! m0 @ v5 H! Z+ X t. v§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
& X0 T* q. j+ b1 ?! v; ^§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures0 n. M" ~4 ~+ j* R z
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
