The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ K2 X4 \' r( D! X7 x/ V

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers1 y, U4 S1 L& \
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
- T( d) |( |/ }% H2 D+ V) K§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation: f3 N3 `* B/ \* X
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
( ]0 s$ L$ @- E! o: w§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
( }, k3 Y' I6 A1 g9 ]4 z§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert: i9 K& K2 F( d/ d9 v
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
% m* D7 M5 ^7 M% y3 ?6 u8 N§ Special projects as required
8 ]% z# c5 L; R7 y$ v, A§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls& x$ H$ j' r5 {0 e. v

Qualifications:
0 A/ O( H2 e; ]- A; j: K§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience8 K/ D+ @/ ?' }
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
8 Y$ z# V2 @$ J  @5 y§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
. a' Y/ J5 Z, T, x  d) C7 l% H! |' H§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
+ D" o4 `3 Q- N* C7 Y) W§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
% i3 b& j4 y. W§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
6 e+ a, h# s* [2 d) A/ F$ `# f§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment 5 q9 z" }: d2 X7 ^# Z  p* q
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group' ?% l5 d# F3 D) v6 `& [
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support: h0 i* E9 C6 ?; f# y+ r. _2 c8 m/ m2 w9 W
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives/ w* [! i- ~. ]0 n$ `3 |' l4 z
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports% F% M" o: F2 p/ ]. D
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation0 |3 r# t; Q9 G+ U/ [9 ^0 X* A
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
. |0 t# G7 I! |$ V7 w& m§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times" {8 I% J5 J# b, N
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access6 r  Z: u# S! L  [( l7 o
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
! G" }* l$ G1 r  _§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
' i. @+ f* k; n! b; C. V1 B4 i§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
4 m3 _2 c- \2 I§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert! K8 X: b4 a( s4 ?3 h3 |
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
$ W, \0 O+ L2 J0 B: ~§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
9 _8 {& W: ~' ~- V/ ]; Z0 \§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
: v" p% g. X) v§ Coordinate and support end user training
- v) Z5 |4 A2 X9 {5 ]5 f7 Y8 G9 h§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
# x8 v! i5 P* e6 M. ]§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance4 }% D  C2 d7 L" P

' x% ~1 V4 k4 a' @+ d9 x% c' M在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
