The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers/ R5 M2 b+ H( ]0 M0 n2 Q8 d- f/ J
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution

/ O% s! s O: K/ I$ e0 ]§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

& s2 _; \4 V' T' {1 Y0 u§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience. F' G9 M; W* m3 O( v0 s, R& u
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision8 `/ u2 j+ W4 W B
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service1 [9 f5 o" @6 T& u5 m" e) G0 s
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues; F9 K2 e8 @: h2 d" k! n8 L
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware: a* t, N% c+ K8 i! u- z% x
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software. I! y- u! t9 L
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems. Position Summary:
3 b, b0 _/ w3 N; ~The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support

9 ?% f; \) i* X; H$ V# d§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports& F* Z3 c; X& n3 K7 z) h! s6 I) o
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation$ a; t5 I/ o# V0 f! l+ c
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to' R* I7 |/ V7 X% N0 Z% O2 H
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
- X* ^$ i e5 g% b2 I§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan4 [) E; B4 H& }$ m5 b

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Coordinate and support end user training
