execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
' j- c F3 I5 ?# \5 {, ithe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by , ~/ q$ l; a6 l7 G( |* [3 q
the Board of Directors;
$ ^+ Q( S4 [, \" {+ B• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
$ |" Y8 v4 R3 i/ z7 w" K6 U( ^including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to / r6 m4 d4 r' D# O* q
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 2 [8 v, ?1 a6 L2 l& S# L
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 8 Z8 ?/ o$ G1 P8 I% q" i
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
. }; D3 W, h0 k& e$ w" _. U9 @• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 9 ?8 ~+ p9 C3 c# Y, @5 p
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 6 W/ ]7 Q+ S. a! e) p
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 0 T+ x2 t6 C: c
changing needs of the organization and community; " ?! _7 h" X F) X% f
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 3 ^' ~: @: o' D) }5 W
commitments; : } t2 a! k& C
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
; R. H% o+ m5 y• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
! n9 y7 @' ~6 G- b) e/ S* b# eselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
& l9 D7 r e# d) ?& C, u9 C• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
8 e, B( G: `: G" Q. a6 U• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring - X! n+ l" }8 k+ R4 E
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
! L' x' A% B6 {1 ^5 R• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
$ {. D0 w- Q N* y8 r$ S) Nperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 0 I: M9 I3 d, f' h+ r
the forthcoming year;
8 B9 v& ]6 s; E0 a, W7 C• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ Z: Q+ T. W2 M. a3 Z2 _: tpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
/ [6 L+ {: i: a! n1 V3 t) |• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience 1 n# _; @- p7 j: u4 x h6 X
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
2 @; N' g# n% M# a• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 3 |( m% f0 O, v

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, $ `. r9 z" q4 ^- q
Networking and Fundraising;
5 \. g) t, y2 R3 Z/ K• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 2 G5 W! q: x' V" H4 k
and financial statements; and 3 p$ |# L* Z' B X' Z
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
