execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 7 ?5 t0 c! S. M R: w& `$ H: U
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by . {$ \6 A# P2 @
the Board of Directors; % F5 Q' }8 ~* c6 C/ c% P
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
+ {+ D9 h! x0 _5 [" Q' H$ Bincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
9 R. _* i8 r/ y9 Senable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

% T- [4 u6 O8 p, T$ x• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' }- h3 G6 Q# X: U1 ]. e• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion / C6 s7 m/ Y, e/ M. |1 ?
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 b% N1 o# \( p* Q7 ]% E# E! H• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the : N6 t. g9 B5 C' e$ E
changing needs of the organization and community;
2 y4 u3 C; n' n' I• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; w3 y/ g1 e3 ~8 t8 S ~& b0 }
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
% R4 m, t# D; K1 @selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
/ r) B% g- F$ c* Z6 w8 x" \0 s• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
! D& Z) b/ g- \0 B* q* G# j, u• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
* d1 U7 n- w; Z. D" _effectively and positively represent the association; 4 a; [) L# P6 f0 _# K- ~5 `

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring , W6 Q) m% @. N" Y5 ~0 T
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
4 n- F, v0 d5 ~) D• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ) K! r2 A! h! J* b7 O7 ~
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
% ~ s& k! I" S, G4 Z. h' nthe forthcoming year;
+ x- E3 Y2 ?8 R2 a+ F/ W# F* z$ P/ I* I• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical / t& I7 ~( U) N- z; y: ]( P3 E) r
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 4 m6 L+ |; V) ~: ~; p

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor a significant number of functions / tasks

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
# K- M5 P4 p/ n$ E• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
# ^) X8 P7 m+ w3 N+ D7 Aabilities; ; t2 J; r+ a M) u# u
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
# v' k# T7 R0 \% a, [# C; ]. w8 bNetworking and Fundraising; 7 l9 @+ O* w5 Z1 m# q$ u m& Z
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
' ]6 l! v! L' T7 Y* uand financial statements; and
