Job Description:

Recruit Participants
4 S4 \( ?' T0 N( Q
-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

9 B- z0 q) g$ w( `/ j: S4 xOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
6 K: _7 T( q! Z- c6 h# {! `
Plan and Facilitate identified public events
; j: q0 A9 ^2 v5 B3 h-        with youth participants

Media coverage
$ Z$ U. q5 ^0 j0 Z-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
; j& b. g& |: n# ~, c* i-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
# x3 E0 M/ V2 e-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

0 h. M9 N) p. q4 Z6 z" }. s-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder
+ ^) `4 E4 m" I& Q* d
& L7 c5 Z: j* @* F& d2 O7 BProject Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
8 s% a0 E/ g. r. C-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
