Primary Focus
" R3 {6 m$ @: d) b( Z8 j As the successful candidate for this position you will provide legal secretarial services to Compliance, Ethics & Privacy Officer and Legal Counsel as required, in the Enbridge Pipelines Inc. Law & Regulatory Affairs Department, specifically the compliance section, with respect to administrative matters to ensure the efficient operation of compliance matters.

Provide timely, accurate and efficient administrative support while handling a high volume workload by drafting correspondence, standard form documents/policies/reports and power point presentations; attendance at committee meetings; preparation and circulation of meeting minutes and reports to Compliance Officer & executive, and transcribing dictation.

! P$ j/ `! o" VSupport the efficient internal operation of Compliance Officer's files by creating and maintaining an organized, standardized and well-planned filing system to ensure that files and information therein are easily accessible. 7 t* G+ Y$ t, u x5 l* I# \3 O% B
0 V8 N# Z9 }. G2 vCommunicate and work with all members of the Law & Regulatory Affairs Department by taking a team approach to problems and their solutions, ensuring effective lines of communication exist within the department as well as other departments within EPI. 4 p, Y* `5 L" E5 q
: G R$ y! z G' e8 V4 QAssist in the coding of invoices; expense reporting; time keeping. % k4 b. }9 B3 p6 Z" u

& e: k% F9 s; e' D* hOrganize Documents on E-link; assist with LMS and on-line training materials.

Perform other administrative tasks as requested by the Compliance, Ethics & Privacy Officer (i.e. conduct basic legal research).

Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with senior level internal and external contacts as well as highly confidential and sensitive information. + _6 g M8 X. f& t' i8 c
: o( N# ^/ D( D2 t+ z* i/ oLegal Assistant Diploma and/or a minimum of 3-4 years experience as a legal assistant for senior lawyers on complicated legal matters. ! ~ Z k7 W/ p3 _" ?
" ^9 D8 e, O0 R$ x8 s* Q8 pThe position requires an individual who is able to handle a high workload and provide responses on short timelines.

Must be able to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively and have a high degree of common sense and business sense. ) y. v7 ?0 X7 J6 O8 G" w
! ?# ] P" [; tExceptional interpersonal, organization, communication (written and oral) and people skills are required.
