Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.  
Responsibilities  
1 W+ T, R2 `8 f: T- ?! N0 e Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

4 {& _  R) K" M- p4 wWork closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

/ s% N, S1 W4 o2 v2 O" n: ?0 L$ ILiaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

Working closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

, q) f. q/ B3 x/ O9 G2 TWork closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
4 s" a; `7 h! EManage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

  _  N! G# z/ k9 A" F% S$ WProvide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

Specific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

$ a; x- j7 J8 M3 rAssist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).

' V6 L& V: J  u! `4 {# Y0 o Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.

10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;

2 M5 F& F  A, gGas industry experience preferred;
( @: P6 \; j* \9 ~
Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;
5 M" [& G6 P0 N' b" T* H# i# |1 q* E
Experience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;

Strong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;

A high degree of personal initiative;
