SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
) q* X- K" t3 ]3 o3 xoperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
4 W7 D; Q8 L6 S6 w4 Cthat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
: {* Y2 w3 ~+ h: p2 d! \1 Y- q$ Xcustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
4 L& T) X7 j. Hthe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
7 K1 T, l4 q1 c$ u7 `Customer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
7 E7 }7 Y  E1 z# ^& @6 O• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
) [" i4 _  y+ {; Z• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
1 B4 `) O! c- R: _& f: a• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
- V  o' @% O  t8 z8 A3 ^, q• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
; |- a) D% v) S% P7 m- B4 t( Q• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
4 ]# D( L) u; P' OQualifications
• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
% N" ~3 A+ q% P) Y1 M1 {• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
7 U, c1 B  H% b( J0 D4 T• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies

• Demanding workload

• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
: G* h% N! O! l• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
. [2 O% X0 R( z! h  _$ P( {3 {) q& O4 P• Standing for extended periods of time
! T7 |# q8 _$ s( ~0 h• Comfortable climbing ladders
