A 13-month-old Edmonton toddler died Saturday morning in a local hospital, two days after being admitted in critical condition. Homicide detectives charged a 44-year-old man with second-degree murder in the little boy’s death. 2 j- k( d, A/ v, W9 H
# O0 b$ A( J& x0 y6 S9 ZThe baby was brought to the hospital at 10 a.m. Thursday with serious injuries. Hospital staff alerted police and social services to his life-threatening condition.

The boy died shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
